The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday shows a quiet start , then at 11:25am a report of a reckless driver on S 281 was reported. There  some minor accidents after that, one at 12:54pm at the intersection of  Key Ave. and  E Ave J,  and one in the 1600 block of S. Key at 2:08pm. A theft was called in in the 1700 block of CTE at 4:38pm, and another reckless driver in the 3000 block of S 183 at 5:07pm. Harassments were reported in the 1100 block of S. Willis at 5:24pm and the 700 block of W. 2nd at 7:38pm. There was one suspicious person report at 6:31pm in the 2700 block of S. 281.

Lampasas had one arrest as an 18 yr old Lampasas man was arrested in the 5200 block of E. 6th for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at  11:32am.


The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa  was sent out on a civil matter. Kempner cleared a wreck, went out on a trespassing call, served a warrant and worked a civil matter and a few animal complaints.

County deputies responded to an alarm, had a few civil matters, checked out a suspicious person and were sent out to Cove to sweep up a wreck and an illegal dumping call.

The Jail Log shows the County booked in a 38 yr old Cove man for driving with an invalid license with a previous conviction and possession of marijuana and a 56 yr old Georgetown man on a commitment charge.

And….though the weather may not cooperate,  tonight is Trick-or Treat. So please watch out for the little ones.

The Burn Ban was lifted again Monday for one more week.
