Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed a busy day with a suspicious vehicle on Skyline Dr. at 12:55am, then a prowler in the 800 block of N. Ridge at 4:29am, a reckless driver at 7:30 on Naruna Rd and a runaway in the 400 block of W. 5th at 9:47am. There was a suspicious person in the 1700 block of CTE at 10:30, then a minor crash at Key and North at 11:57am.
The afternoon bought a couple more suspicious person reports, then a theft in the 2700 block of Hwy 281 S at 1:30. A disturbance report came from the 600 block of N. Key at 1:37pm, another suspicious person on W. Ave E at 1:41, then another theft in the 2700 block of Hwy 281 S at 1:45. Yet another call from the 800 block of N. Ridge at 4pm and a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of S. Main at 4:28pm.
In the evening there was a disturbance in the 400 block of CTE at 7:43pm and an arrest at 8:07pm on a 36 yr old homeless man in the 200 block of E. 1st for evading arrest. Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of S. Main at 8:14pm and another arrest at 9:18pm on a 53 yr old Bruceville female. She was picked up in the 1200 block of Northington for public intoxication at 9:18pm.
The Sheriff’s Dept. reports two arrests on the jail log with a 47 yr old Lampasas woman arrested for failure to appear and a 36 yr old Lampasas man arrested on a capias pro fine (failure to carry out orders of the court under penalty of a go-directly-to-jail if you don’t.)
The Burn Ban has been lifted in Lampasas Co. until Monday, 10/8 at 7pm.
