The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday shows a suspicious vehicle on Teton Ave. at 4:28am. Otherwise it was a quiet morning. The afternoon was busier with an arrest at 2:30pm where a 28yr old local man was picked up on the 400 block of E. 4th on a municipal warrant for riding a bike with no safety equipment at night. At 5:15pm a reckless driver was reported on Hwy 281 N and a domestic disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of CTE at 5:17pm. At 6:29pm a theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Key.

At 8:53pm a 40 yr old homeless woman was arrested in the 1100 block of E. Ave. F on a warrant for disorderly conduct-obscene language and a defective headlight. At the same location another homeless person, a 56 yr old man, was arrested for public intoxication.

There was a shots fired report in the 1700 block of CTE at 9:14pm, then a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of N. Broad at 11:20pm. At 11:22pm a 20 yr old Kingsland male was arrested in the 1400 block of S. Key for DWI.

The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa with a quiet day, Kempner had a civil matter to check on. Out in the county, deputies investigated a burglary, worked an accident, settled a disturbance and then went into Cove city limits on some suspicious person calls.

The Jail Log showed a 44 yr old Killeen woman arrested on an out of county charge.

Though the arrest took place in Bell Co. We have learned that a Kempner man, 21 yr old James Todd Kavenaugh O’Bryan, has been arrested and charged with DWI, assaulting a public servant and resisting arrest. The incident happened after O’Bryan hit a deer on Boys Ranch Road about midnight Monday night. O’Bryan attempted to flee the scene of the crash and when the trooper chased after him there was a scuffle and the trooper wound up with an injured knee.

The Burn Ban was lifted again Monday for one more week.
