Lampasas County Commissioners met at 9am this morning to work on a short agenda which included the consent agenda, a look at the final plat of Cottonwood Mesa Subdivision and discussion of the Jail Project.

Lampasas City Council meets at 5:30pm in workshop and again at 7pm for the regular session. In workshop they’ll discuss ordinances for traffic and vehicles, the 2018/19 Council Work Plan, and they’ll review projects funded by the 2016 C.O. bonds.

In regular session they’ll hear second readings of recent ordinances and a number of reports, then on to new business which includes possible approval of a resolution to annex 4 acres of land owned by Roy Cockrell, purchase of utility poles and tree trimming service, discussion on a quote for technology equipment for the old city hall building remodel, action on the traffic and vehicles ordinance, HOT funding for the Chamber of Commerce and a fund sharing for maintenance.


Kempner City Council will meet at 7pm on Tuesday evening in Council Chambers at their city hall.

Lampasas County sheep & goat validation will be Tuesday, October 23 from 4-6 pm at the Lampasas County Livestock show barn.  All 4-H and FFA members who plan to exhibit sheep or goats at the 2019 county or major stock shows must bring their animals and have them validated to make those animals eligible to exhibit in the 2019 stock shows. 


Halloween Fun on the Square as the annual Squared Silly event takes place with costume contests, bounce house, haunted house, pony rides and more will be the entertainment aimed at kids of all ages. The event is slated for 5 to 7:30pm, centered at the bandstand with the costume judging.
