The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Monday showed an early morning prowler report in the 700 block of Northington at 3:50am. At 10:33am there was a burglary of a habitation report in the 800 block of N. Ridge, and an arrest took place in the 400 block of E 4th at 10:41am. A 48 yr old Corsicana man was picked up on a Lampasas Municipal Warrant for having an animal with no vaccination.

The afternoon brought a reckless driver report on CTE at 12:48pm and another arrest at 3:39pm. A 36 yr old Lampasas man was arrested in the 900 block of E. 4th on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

In the evening there was criminal mischief in the 800 block of N. Ridge at 7:08pm, a report of a suspicious act in the 800 block of N. Ridge at 9:35pm and an arrest at 9:38 where a 32 yr old man, James Levi Bennett of Lampasas, was arrested in the 900 block of Old Georgetown Road for assault by contact in family violence.

The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa with a quiet day. Kempner officers had a civil matter, a disturbance, livestock issues and a fish and game call. Out in the county, deputies worked a trespassing call, an animal complaint, disturbances, and were sent to within Cove city limits on an alarm and a criminal mischief call.

The Burn Ban has been lifted until Monday, 10/8 at 7pm.
