The crossing on Third St. will be closed until further notice. The BNSF Railroad is doing maintenance on the railroad crossing on Third Street and is evidently being hampered by weather conditions. They had originally planned to spend just a day on it, but that hasn’t happened. Now, we are told that it “.. will remain barricaded until BNSF advises the crossing is safe to cross.”

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa had an animal complaint and a medical call. Kempner officers went out on an illegal burn, a civil matter and a suspicious person report. Out in the county, deputies worked two disturbances and went into Copperas Cove city limits to investigate a burglary.

The Jail Log showed no arrests.

The Burn Ban in Lampasas Co. is lifted until Sunday at 7pm.
