The area rivers have continued their declines to well below flood stage.
The Colorado River at Bend is at just over 20 ft, a steady drop from its 26 ft high mid-day Wednesday 10/17.
The Lampasas River at Kempner peaked mid-afternoon Tuesday just under 20ft, dropped down early Wednesday, then peaked again at about 17ft and dropped Thursday night to 2.5 ft before starting back up again. It was at about 3.5 ft at 7am this morning.
Today: A 100% chance of rain today, with the north wind decreasing to about 5 mph and the high up to 61°.
Tonight: An 80% chance of rain and a low of 58°. The wind should shift a little to the NW and calm a little.
Saturday: The rain chances are still at 60% with lots of clouds, and although the wind is still N-NE, the afternoon high should be up to about 65°.
Overnight the rain chances disappear, the light N-NE wind will be around 5 mph and the temperature will be around 63°.
The rest of the week: On Sunday the rain chances are gone for the day but come back a little overnight at 30% with the arrival of a new low pressure system from the west. Sunday’s high should be low to mid 60s with NE 5-10 mph wind.
Monday, we start the week with a 30% chance of rain, a high near 60º and no wind. On Tuesday the rain chance gets up to 50% and that increases overnight, but goes back down to 50% again Wednesday and 40% Thursday.
