Badger Varsity Football (1-0/3-3) will face possibly their biggest challenge of the season when they travel to Liberty Hill on Friday to meet the Panthers (1-0/4-1) who are now ranked at #4 in the entire 4A-1 Division. Lampasas is ranked #29 at this point.
Lampasas has an uphill battle for sure, and the game is to be played at Liberty Hill. That’s their turf, but at least, it’s artificial turf – not mud.
9th and JV Football will host Liberty Hill on Thursday, 10/18, in Badger Stadium with games at 5:30 and 7pm.
Middle School Football was to play Westridge on Wednesday in Badger Stadium. That has been cancelled due to weather.
Badger Cross Country
After the recent district meet a Lady Badger Cross Country team earned a trip to Regionals in Corpus Christi on Monday Oct. 22.
The girls currently stand in third place in district, behind Liberty Hill and Salado.
The Varsity Girls - regional qualifiers are: Taylor Moore 4th medaled & individual qualifier
Abby Valdez - 10th medaled & individual qualifier
Mackenzie Best - 18th
Annabelle Brack - 19th
Caitlyn Townsend - 20th
Middle School Cross Country saw the 7th and 8th grade teams in their district meet on Saturday at Llano.
The 7th girls finished second and the 8th girls were 4th. Top finishers for 7th grade girls were Juanita Hinson(5th) and Aspen Wheeler (9th). Top finishers for the 8th grade girls were Tate Brown (18th) and Isabel Provonost (19th).
In the boys teams the 7th finished 5th and the 8th finished in 3rd place. Top 7th grade boys were Kaleb Roberts (8th) and Landon Baker in next. The top 8th graders were Jose Parra (8th) and Alex Flores (12th).
Badger Varsity Tennis playoff match against Wimberley that had been postponed due to the weather has been rescheduled for this morning at Liberty Hill at 10am – weather permitting.
Coach Peiser noted: “If that falls through, we’ll try Thursday or Friday.”
Badger Varsity Volleyball will be at Burnet on Friday 10/19 with games at 5, 5 and 6pm.
