Badger Varsity Football (1-0/3-3) will face possibly their biggest challenge of the season when they travel to Liberty Hill on Friday to meet the Panthers (1-0/4-1) who are now ranked at #4 in the entire 4A-1 Division. Lampasas is ranked #29 at this point.
It’s hard to tell about potential outcomes in these early games but Lampasas beat Burnet last Friday 56-7. Liberty Hill walked all over Fredericksburg 69-7.
Lampasas has an uphill battle for sure and the game is to be played at Liberty Hill. That’s their turf for sure, but then, at least, it is artificial turf – not mud.
9th and JV Football will host Liberty Hill on Thursday, 10/18, in Badger Stadium with games at 5:30 and 7pm.
Middle School Football will host Westridge on Wednesday in Badger Stadium with rolling starts at 4:15pm.
Badger Varsity Tennis hosted Cove Friday and won 12-7, taking them into the playoffs looking strong.
Coach Kenneth Peiser said it was a good win going into playoffs.
The tentative playoff match is Tuesday (10/16) depending on rain) in Marble Falls. We play Wimberley at 4pm.
Badger Cross Country
The Cross Country team has a break until Monday the 22nd when they travel to Corpus Christi for the Regional Cross Country Meet.
Badger Varsity Volleyball will be on the road Tuesday at Taylor with games at 5,5 and 6pm. They will be at Burnet on Friday 10/19 with games at 5, 5 and 6pm.
Middle School Volleyball was at Wimberley on Thursday and all teams lost their matches. They will host Burnet today with games at 5 and 6pm.
Fall Golf begins on Friday when the Lady Badgers travel to the Hill Country Classic at Buckhorn Golf Club at Comfort. The two day event will be the first test of this year’s team.
Badger Band will be in the UIL Area Marching Contest on Saturday at Vista Ridge – Gupton Stadium.
