The Blotter

Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Friday showed an early morning arrest at 4:26am when another Lampasas citizen was arrested for drugs. This time it was a 54 yr old man, Kenneth Alan Cornwell, arrested in the 200 block of N. Porter for having a PG1 controlled substance over a gram and under 4 grams.

(We often mention PG1. That means Penalty Group 1 which is a group of drugs that includes Cocaine, Heroin, Methamphetamine, Oxycodone and the other more harmful drugs. Having less than 1gram of PG1 is a State Jail Felony while having 1-4 grams is a 2nd Degree Felony with a possible sentence of 2 to 20 years in prison. Methamphetamine is Lampasas biggest drug problem.)

At 7:54am Friday morning a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of W. Ave E and at 8:10am there was harassment reported at the P.D. At 11:05am an assault was reported in the 2700 block of S. Hwy 281 which is generally the address of Lampasas High School.

(PG2 drugs are hallucinagins or stimulants like amphetamines. A 1 to 4 grams conviction is a 2nd degree felony with prison time.)

At 3:54pm a theft was reported in the 900 block of Old Georgetown Rd and at 4:55pm a domestic disturbance sent officers to the 700 block of Brown St. An assault was reported in the 600 block of S. Main at 6:23pm and a prowler report came from the 100 block of W. Ave. E at 6:40pm.

The Sheriff’s Dept. Blotter shows Lometa pretty quiet with a livestock complaint, and Kempner cleared some trespassing calls. Out in the County there were traffic stops, animal calls and a warrant service.

The Jail Log shows a 24 yr old Fresno, California resident and a New Hampshire man both brought in for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2.
