Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Thursday shows an arrest at 1:33am with 18 yr old Brandon Scott Zirkle, a homeless person, arrested in the 100 block of Riverview for theft of a firearm and for unlawful carrying of a weapon.

At 10:03am another homeless person, Donald Wade Edmondson, 58, was arrested. He was charged with criminal trespass in the 800 block of N. Key.

A suspicious person was reported in Brook Park at 12:16pm, a child endangerment was reported in the 500 block of S. Key at 2:43pm and a disturbance was reported in the 500 block of E. 3rd at 3:43pm. Fraud was reported in the 600 block of N. Key at 4:07pm and a runaway report came from the 1000 block of Mill at 4:09pm. Fraud was reported again, this time in the 1900  block of Hwy 281 S at 5:03pm.

The evening brought criminal mischief in the 1100 block of E. Ave F at 7:43pm and harassment in the 300 block of E. 4th at 8:36. At 9:08pm there was a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of W. 4th, harassment again, this time in the 1300 block of CTE at 9:12pm and a prowler was reported in the 1500 block of E. 3rd at 9:41pm.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad (BNSF) will close the Third Street railway from 7am until 1pm for rehab on the tracks. No traffic will be allowed to cross the tracks during this time.

The railway on East 580 will remain open during this time.

Lampasas Sheriff’s Dept. blotter shows Lometa had a quiet day while Kempner had an alarm call and animal complaints. Out in the country there was a structure fire, a fraud case, a disturbance, a wreck and animal complaints.

The Jail Log shows a 22 yr old Lometa man picked up on a bench warrant and a 21 yr old Georgetown man on an occupational Driver license violation.

The Burn Ban in Lampasas Co. is lifted until Monday at 7pm.
