Lampasas Police Dept. blotter for Tuesday showed an early morning arrest at 12:31am when a 44 yr old homeless man was picked up in the 2300 block of FM 580W for possession of dangerous drugs.
After sunup, at 7:42am there was a criminal mischief report in the 500 block of S. Willis and another nearby in the 200 block of Landon at 9:59am. At 10:49am there was a disturbance in the 600 block of E. Ave. F. There was one minor accident at 11:03am in the 2200 block of Hwy 183S with no injuries.
The afternoon brought a suspicious person report in the 900 block of S. Broad at 2:43pm. Following that, at 4:52pm, there was a report of abduction in the 700 block of S. Broad. More on that in our news stories.
There was a double arrest in the 800 block of S. Key at 5:56pm. Israel Alvarez, 31 of Lampasas, and Jesse Joe Garcia, Jr., 28 of Lampasas, were both charged with possession of a PG1 controlled substance over a gram but under 4 grams. Alvarez was also charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent.
The Sheriff’s Dept. reports that Lometa had quiet with the exception of one alarm response. Kempner had a missing person report, animal complaints, an accident, a suspicious person and an alarm response. Out in the county there were some civil matters, a warrant, a kidnapping report, a harassment call and some suspicious person reports.
The jail log shows the booking of a 47 yr old Valley Mills woman on out of county charges and a 27 yr old Lampasas woman on a probation violation.
The Burn Ban has been lifted in Lampasas Co. until Sunday, 10/14 at 7pm.
