Badger Football

Badger Varsity Football (2-3) lost to the Gatesville Hornets Friday night 33-27. This week it will be an open date for the team before beginning district play at Burnet on Oct. 12.

District 14-4A-1 pre-district standings

Canyon Lake is 5-0 after beating Blanco 21-14 Friday (MaxPeps has them at #22 in 4A-1)                                                                Liberty Hill is 3-1  had an open date on Friday. (Texas Football says they are #3 in 4A-1, MaxPreps has them at #4 and the AP says they’re #7.)                                                               Fredericksburg is 3-2   lost to Boerne 42-35                                                                Burnet is 2-3   beat Sonora 41-20                                                                              Taylor is 2-3   lost to La Grange 21-0                                                                           Lampasas is 2-3   lost to Gatesville 33-27                                                                        

Middle School Football will be in Badger Stadium Thursday 10/4 against Fredericksburg. Rolling starts will begin at 4:30pm.

Badger Tennis

Badger Tennis was at Belton on Friday afternoon. This one was a loss for the Badgers as they played a strong Tiger team and lost 2-17. Dwamena/Claussen won in straight sets. Dwamena also won in singles. Coach Peiser said this was good practice as they get ready for the mid-Oct. playoffs.

Badger Varsity Tennis will host Harker Heights on Friday 10/5 with play beginning at 4pm.

JV Tennis will host Copperas Cove on Thursday 10/4 at 4pm.

Badger Cross Country

Badger Varsity Cross Country is at Georgetown’s Old Settler’s Park today for an 11am run hosted by McNeil High
