This morning at 9am the Commissioners met in the downstairs courtroom at the Courthouse. On their agenda were Courtroom Rules of Conduct, addressing of requested residential structures, more discussion on the construction delivery method for the new County Jail
project, and likely executive session discussion on personnel issues having to do with the Human Resources position, also on position or title change and salary increase of an employee in the County Judge’s office.
The Basketball Camp for girls kicks off today from 9am to 11am for 2nd thru 5th graders. 6th thru 9th graders will meet from noon to 2:30pm. The new coach is Mark Myers.
Lampasas City Council will meet at 5:30pm in workshop. The first order of business will be to swear in new Councilman Greg Smith, then on to discussions on budget planning and current projects, along with something on a trap-neuter-release of community cats. In regular session there are several rezoning issues, then appointing a new member to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, a request for funding from the Chamber of Commerce, approval of the Spring Ho Fireworks display for July 5th, and purchasing a new pickup truck for the City’s meter reader crew. There will also be possible action on an $18,500 engineering project award to Eckermann Engineering having to do with his work on the Coleman Water Line Extension and the raising/relocation of the Nix Rd. water tank.
