The Softball Playoffs picture shows Region 3 champ Liberty Hill facing facing Vernon, the
Region I champ, for the 1/3 Championship today at noon. Meanwhile, Krum and Beeville Jones will have played off their State Semifinal Region 2/4 game at 9am today. The winners of these two games above will meet on Saturday, June 3rd at noon for the State Championship.
The Baseball Playoffs sees China Spring and Robinson surviving to advance to the Regional finals.

They will play each other on Saturday, June 3rd to see who goes on to play either Godley or Wylie in the Region 1/3 Qualifier-State Matchups June 7-10. Texas Rangers vs Houston Astros 3 day series starts Friday at Ranger Stadium. This is one to watch, with the Astros leading
the AL West (and Major League Baseball) with a 38-16 record while the Rangers are 3rd in the AL West and way behind the Astros at 26-28. Those Astros are really good so far this year.
They just scored 40 runs in a three day massacre over the Twins, and they’ve won 7 games in a row now. Look out Rangers!

The Round Rock Express (6-8 in their PCL-AS div.) return home to the friendly confines of Dell Diamond on Thursday, June 1 to open a four-game series against the New Orleans Baby
Cakes (Miami Marlins affiliate). The first three games of the series feature What Could Have
Been Weekend with the “Express” transforming into the “Jackalopes.” The team has dedicated an entire weekend to examining an alternate name from when the franchise was founded in 2000. Thanks to D.R. Horton, the team will don navy blue uniforms that feature the allegedly-mythical creature hopping over a custom Round Rock Jackalopes logo, created by Brandiose. The team will also sport Jackalopes ballcaps.

Anyway, RR goes thru Sunday against the (1-8 in the PCL-AS) Baby Cakes. Round Rock is currently 3rd in the 4 team PCL-AS and New Orleans is 4th. Leading the division is Memphis and Nashville in that order.
