The Lady Badgers Softball team heads for Salado this afternoon to meet the team they lost to in the first round of play. The team is convinced that the game they lost shouldn’t have happened and this time, they are gonna’ turn it around. Lampasas is a really good softball team in adistrict that has other good softball teams, so they are fighting for the top.
Tonight’s game will be early, starting at 6pm instead of 6:30 or 7pm as is often the case. Salado has no JV team so Coach Cleavinger says they’re going to start much earlier than usual. If you follow the Lady Badgers, plan to leave much earlier today for the game. That game will be broadcast on KCYL 1450AM, with Darrell Brooks and Randy Morris calling the game.
Every Tuesday morning at 8am Coach Drew Cleavinger and one or more Lady Badgers will be in our studio for the weekly radio show with host Ronnie Witcher. We talk about the games, meet the players, and find out what’s coming up next.
