FFA Has Several Firsts

The Lampasas FFA joined over 2000 FFA students and advisors in participating in the Area 7 and District FFA association judging competitions held on Saturday, April 1 at Texas A&M University.

Livestock judging team member Taylor Loeffler was the district FFA high point individual in Livestock Judging and was in the top 15 in individual scoring for the Area 7 FFA Association out of 324 contestants. Teammate Braedon Loeffler was 39th high point individual. Other team members were Adree Stapp and Dawson Raub.

The Lampasas FFA livestock judging team placed 6th in district rankings, and the Lampasas FFA Poultry judging team consisting of Caul Smith, Quint Smith, Breighton Loeffler and Carly Hall placed 1st in district rankings and 11th in the Area- Caul Smith was high point individual for the team.The Lampasas FFA horse judging team placed 4th in District ranking and team members were Haley McGee, Cheyenne Vansteinburg, and Tyler Gardner. Haley McGee was high point individual for the team. Assisting the teams were Dr. Steve Forsythe, Clint Nygard and student teachers Brandon Masi and Taylor Heim.
