Lady Badgers Softball shuts out/run-rules Leander Glenn on Thursday evening in Leander. It was 22-0 when the game ended after 3 innings. Collyn Schuricht was the winning pitcher in the three inning blowout. The big hitters were Sloan Johnson, Kloe Corbin and Megan Sittner. Megan had one homer, a double and a single and 5 RBIs. Sloan and Kloe each had 4 RBIs with two baggers to bring ‘em around. Every girl in the Badger lineup had at least one hit and an RBI.

Coach Drew Cleavinger says the huge win was a team effort and now, the team gets ready for their next game on Tuesday against Burnet. It will also include the Lady Badgers Annual Fish Fry night, the fund raiser that helps with team expenses that aren’t covered in the regular school budget. They invite all their fans to come out and enjoy some great catfish.

Braden Allen got the win, going 4+ innings before beginning to struggle. He was relieved by Harrison Gillespie, Badger sidearm pitcher, who came in for the save and looked very good on the mound.

The interesting thing about the game. You have to congratulate the young freshmen-sophomore Leander team. It was perhaps their best district outing to date. They are learning!

The next game will be at home on Tuesday against the Burnet Bulldogs. It will be another test for the Badgers as
