Badger Baseball had its third district win Friday night, 8-7 over the Hwy 281 rival Burnet Bulldogs. The Bulldogs jumped out front first, in the bottom of the 1st inning. After that it was the Badgers pulling out front and holding slight leads until the end, but it was close and an undecided game until that 7th inning. Next up for the Badgers is the big one – the Liberty Hill Panthers come to Badger Field on Tuesday evening for a 7:30pm game. The Panthers are 3-0 unbeaten in district, so is Lampasas. Tuesday’s game will be a crucial test for both teams. Another crucial game took place last night as Taylor beat Salado 4-3 in a 7th inning squeaker.

Go to Tuesday’s game if you can, but if not, you can keep up with the bat by bat on KACQ Radio at 101.9FM and on our live stream. Find out about Badger games and players and what’s to come every week with the Coach Shane Doege Badger Baseball show with host Ronnie Witcher every Thursday morning at 8am on Lampasas Radio at 101.9FM and 1450AM.

Badger Soccer ended for both the Badger Boys and girls on Friday night. The Badger boys lost their game with Gonzales 1-3 and the girls team lost their game Giddings 0-5. The girls lost to Giddings was a game that Coach Kiff Wiemers said was fought hard for the entire 80 minutes. Congratulations for a great run, Badgers!
