Basketball Tonight

The Running Badgers Basketball Team (8-1) is headed to Liberty Hill tonight for a second round game against the 7-2 Liberty Hill Panthers. In the first round the pre-season pick Panthers fell to the Badgers in a close one to the Badgers. The Badgers must win tonight to remain in their fight with Burnet for the district championship.

Tonight’s game is probably the most decisive game of the season for Lampasas. Liberty Hill and Burnet(9-1) must still face each other for the fight to get on top. Tonight’s game will be broadcast over KCYL 1450AM and on the internet at Lampasas Radio.com. Go Badgers!
Lampasas Lady Badger Basketball (3-8) is at Liber ty Hill tonight for their last game of the season against the top district team, the Lady Panthers (11-0). Tip-off will be at 8pm.

The Lometa Hornets(8-0) ar e still r olling on and undefeated in district basketball, beating Blanket 50-33 last Friday. They play Zephyr tonight at Zephyr at 7:30pm.

Lady Badger Softball star ted their season with a scrimmage game at LaGrange against the defending State Champions, the Lady Leopards. Coach Drew Cleavinger said “The girls came in ith a clear idea of what we wanted and that was to prove we belonged on the same field as La Grange.”

The Lady Badgers actually led the scrimmage game 3-2 in the top of the 7th and in the end, lost it by only 3-4 to the champion Lady Leopards. Calle Reding and Collyn Schuricht shared the mound 4 and 3 innings respectively and Coach Cleavinger said, “I am very impressed with the girls as they continue to rise to my expectations every day!”

The Lady Badgers will return to LaGrange on Feb 23-25th for a tournament, meanwhile they’ll travel to Brownwood this Saturday, Feb. 11th.

Badger Baseball is headed for their fir st action today at a scrimmage game at Killeen Ellison. There are a few more scrimmages, then their first real game will be at Gatesville on Feb. 20th Badger Boys Soccer got the win last Friday in over time. They beat the Jarrell Cougars 1-0 in a hard fought match. They will play Leander Glenn on Friday.

Lady Badger Soccer saw the Lampasas gir ls beat the Jarrell Lady Cougars 3-0 last week. The next district game will be this Friday against Leander Glenn at Leander.

Lampasas Men’s JV Soccer will be playing her e against Taylor this evening. Game starting time will be 5pm.
