Basketball tonight:

The Running Badgers (8-0) and the Burnet Bulldogs (8-1) tip off at 6:30pm. Lampasas is on a 20 game winning streak. Burnet is 18-6 for the season. Both teams are really good. Lampasas is ranked number 17 in state 4A, Burnet is ranked number 30. In the first round Lampasas won 49-48 over Burnet.

The Lady Badgers Basketball team (3-7) and the Burnet Lady Bulldogs (7-3) will meet at 8pm in Badger Gym. In the first round Burnet beat Lampasas 64-28. Tonight’s game is important for Burnet as they fight for the number 2 spot in district with Taylor. For Lampasas, besides the rivalry itself, it is the last home game. The last game of the season will be at Liberty Hill next Tuesday against that really tough district leader.

Other basketball games tonight include the Girls JV game at 5:15pm and the freshmen girls at 6:30pm. The Boys JV will play at 5:15 and the freshmen at 8pm.

The Lometa Hornets(8-1) will try to shake it off a loss in their last game when they meet Priddy at home tonight.

Lampasas Men's Soccer will play Jarrell at home today.  

Lady Badger Soccer will play Jarrell at home at 5:30PM.

 Lady Badger Softball will head for Killeen High on Saturday for more scrimmage action. On Monday they’ll travel to LaGrange for games with the traditional state softball powerhouse.

Badger Baseball is practicing but won’t see action until their first scrimmage next Tuesday at Killeen Ellison. The first game will be at Gatesville on Feb. 20th.
