What's Happening In Lampasas

UIL Speaking Events today at Middle School at 4pm.
Basketball Tonight with the JV boys and girls teams starting it off at 5:15 pm, then the Varsity boys and freshmen girls games at 6:30 pm, and the Varsity girls at 8 pm. 
There’ll be a High School Blood Drive on Wednesday at 7:30 am at the High School Gym.
Want to know more about Lampasas History? Glynda Carpenter, author of History of Hancock Springs, will be sharing stories and answering questions on Thursday from 3-4pm at the library at 201 S. Main.
Lometa School Board will meet on Thursday, Jan. 19th at 6:30 pm in the school library at 8th and Main. On the agenda is the public hearing on the Texas Academic Performance Report for 2015-16, the resignation of a board member and the appointment of a new member, a call for a Trustee Election in May, the consideration of voting judges and a contract with Lampasas Co. for the election, and a resolution on the A-F Accountability Rating System for Texas. 
Lampasas County 4-H will hold their first photography workshop of the year on Thursday, Jan. 19th at 5:30pm at the County Annex Conference Room.  They will have information on two different contests offered by 4-H.   One contest is to enter photographs and the other is a photo. judging competition.  If you have questions, please call the extension office at 512-556-8271 ext. 140.
The Polar Bear Plunge will take place on Saturday at the Hancock Park Free Flow Pool from 10am to 1pm. There’ll be a costume contest and other events. Call 512-525-1269 for more info.
