Annual Democratic Party Labor Day Picnic

The Annual Democratic Party Labor Day Picnic saw not only Central Texas area candidates for the November Election on the political stump, but also reporting convention delegates and a speaker for Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton.

Candidates speaking included:

Kathi Thomas, Candidate for Texas Congressional District 25 in the US Congress, running against Republican incumbent Roger Williams.

Sandra Blankenship, Candidate for Texas House District 54, running against a controversial Republican candidate, former Killeen Mayor Scott Cosper, who found a great deal of Primary opposition in his own town of Killeen when Austin Ruiz, a local optometrist, ran a very close runoff  race.

Jennie Lou Leeder, Candidate for Texas Senate, District 24, a former teacher and coach who is running against Republican Dawn Buckingham, a Travis Co, Eye Surgeon..

Also speaking was Independent local Candidate, Edith Wagner Harrison, who is running for District Clerk of Lampasas County.
