The Lampasas Badgers Badger Football

The Lampasas Badgers (1-4) now have an extra week to heal and get ready for district play. They will meet the Gatesville Hornets (3-2) on October 7th.

The Hornets have beat Lampasas every time they have met (13 times) since 1980. According to Lone Star Football records, they have a record of 29-16-1 over Lampasas.

The only common opponent so far this year has been Robinson. Gatesville beat Robinson 53-35 Friday night. Lampasas had lost a high scoring cliff-hanger game to Robinson by a 68-70 score on Sept. 2nd.

What does all that mean?  It means that our Badgers have an opportunity here to stand up to the challenge and turn that record around. Badger Coach Troy Rogers and staff will spend their open week laying plans to do just that.

The Lometa Hornets won on the road last night over Summit Christian Academy, 32-20. The Hornets travel to Sidney to play the Sidney Eagles September 30th at 7:30pm.
