The Autumnal Equinox is taking place today, bringing fall to the northern hemisphere and springtime to the southern hemisphere of our earth. What's it all about? Well... as the old earth rotates and at the same time spins around the sun, it's perspective to the sun changes. At equinox, the days and nights have exactly the same amount of time.
This only happens twice a year, once in spring and once in fall. So-o, from about 9:20 this morning on, the days are getting shorter than the nights in our part of the world...that is until at December 21st, when we have the longest night of the year and then the days start to get longer and so-on, until Vernal Equinox in March, etc. Anyway...I can feel the cool of fall already, I think? Can you?
