Badger Football fell to the Lorena Leopards 42-35 in another close hard-fought game. 

Statistical leaders in the game were: QB Cohen Cockburn, who was 22 of 34, with 1 interception, for 183 yards in passing and 4 touchdowns. He was also the rushing leader with 114 yards and 1 touchdown; receiver Harrison Gillespie had 3 receptions for 39 yards and 1 touchdown; receiver Jason Murphey caught 10 for 71 yards and 2 TD's; receiver Brandon Pierino caught 2 for 29 yards and a TD; and determined running back Sean Williams had 16 carries for a total of 68 yards.

The Badgers will face Canyon Lake this week for a road game on Thursday at 7pm.

The Lometa Hornets (now 2-2) got back on the winning track with a big 52-7 Homecoming Night win over Morgan Friday night.

This week it will be Summitt Christian Academy at home.  

Badger Cross Country was at the Gatesville Invitational on Thursday.  The varsity girls finished 1st out of 12 teams.

Up next for Cross Country is a meet Thursday, September 22 at 8am at the H.O.T. Soccer Complex in Waco.

Lady Badger Varsity Volleyball fell to Llano Friday. Coach Denise Ponder said the girls struggled, but will regroup.

Lady Badger Freshman Volleyball also fell to Llano Friday in two games. Coach Drew Cleavinger said the girls played well with several kills and aces, and the girls are working hard!

Lady Badger Volleyball travels to Akins high school today with games starting at 5:30pm.

Lampasas Middle School Volleyball 7th and 8th grade teams were in Salado on Monday. The 7th grade A team lost 17-25 (L), and 14-25 (L). 7th grade B team won 25-11(W), 21-25(L), 15-9(W). 8th grade A team lost 25-23(W), 15-25(L), 18-25(L).

8th grade B team also lost 13-25(L), 13-25(L). The teams are hoping for a better outcome on Monday.

Lampasas Middle School Cross Country is in Burnet on Wednesday at Haley Nelson Park starting at 3:30pm.

Lampasas Middle School Football, 7th and 8th grade teams travel to Canyon Lake on Wednesday with games starting at 4:30pm.

Lampasas Badger Freshman and JV football host Canyon Lake on Wednesday starting at 5:00pm.
