Library Happenings

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month. The Lampasas Public Library is celebrating by offering a Book Sale Blowout and a gift basket giveaway.

For the Book Sale Blowout, you can buy a bag for $5 and fill it with as many books as you can.

Teen Movie Day, where all teens are invited to the Lampasas Public Library to watch the popular movie “Allegiant,” will be starting at 4pm today in the Library Foundation Room. Popcorn and bottled water will be provided for free and there is no charge for the movie.

“Changing Leaves Story Time” will take place tomorrow at 10am. All preschoolers are invited to learn about leaves and their changing colors, with a 30-minute story time and a craft following.

The Cornelia Key Book Club will meet at 11am tomorrow in the Foundation Room to discuss “O Pioneers!” by Willa Cather.

If you’d like to join, the book for next month’s meeting is “Clementine: the Life of Mrs. Winston Churchill” by Sonia Purnell. That meeting will take place on October 19.

“The Angry Birds Movie” will be playing for children in 1st through 6th grades tomorrow at 4pm. The movie is 97 minutes long and children may bring their own snacks.
