Funeral Notices

Emmitt Jackson, 92 of Lampasas, died September 13, 2016 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. Emmitt was born June 26, 1924 in Dobeyville, TX the son of Jasper Jackson and Belle (Insall) Jackson. Emmitt served in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. Later, he worked as a civil service employee, as a fork lift mechanic. He married Novellee Kenan, and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Sturgis Jackson of Lampasas; granddaughter, Heide Jackson; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Emmitt was preceded in death by his wife, Novellee, and by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Emmitt Jackson will be Friday, September 16 from 2pm to 5pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 17 at 10am at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Antonia “Tony” Cisneros, 68 of Lampasas, died Tuesday, September 13 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Antonia was born July 2, 1948 in Lampasas, the daughter of Jesus Alonso Cisneros and Juliana (Cervantes) Cisneros. She lived in Lampasas all her life and was retired form Oil States as a supervisor. Antonia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Gloria Lopez and Rosa Morales both of Ft. Worth and Mary Jane Morin of Lampasas; brother, Blas Cisneros of Lampasas; and many nieces and nephews.

Antonia was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Manuel.

Rosary will be recited Friday September 16 at 7pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be Saturday September 17 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
