Monday Meetings

Lampasas County Commissioners met this morning at 9am. Routine items on the agenda were possible contracting for building custodial and security proposals. Other matters included 911 addressing proposals, a bond for new Commissioner Bobby Carroll, and the fees list for services of the Lampasas County Sheriff's Office.

Lampasas ISD School Board has a meeting set for 6pm tonight. There are routine matters in a consent agenda, then some discussion on the Appraisal District Budget, an evaluation report on LISD Career and Technical Education, administration reports, and consultation with an attorney on a Petition for Detachment and Annexation matter in the east end of the district.

Lampasas City Council has its regular workshop session scheduled for 5:30pm tonight. There will be discussions with the Chamber of Commerce on the Visitor Center Budget and Tourism agreement.

At 7pm the group will meet in regular session with a public hearing on zoning on South Western St. on a 13 acre tract, then reports and public comments.

Action is to be taken on the approval of the new budget and tax rate, approval of the LEDC budget and appointment of members to that group. Paving of some cart trails at the golf course is on the table, as well as airport discussions, use of Campbell Park and the Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden area by the Chamber of Commerce and the Assoc. for the Arts group for the Herb and Art Fest, and the Christmas Committee wants to host the Tour of Glampers Fund Raising Event to expand Christmas Lights on Sulphur Creek.
