Badger Football fell to the Wimberley Texans 31-7 Friday night.
Stat leaders for the Badgers were: Harrison Gillespie - 8 receptions for 117 yards; Jason Murphy - 5 receptions for29 yards; Cohen Cockburn – 16 of29 for 192 yards, 2 interceptions, and 9 carries for 48 yards and 1 touchdown .
The Badgers are 1-2 on the season, and will host the Lorena Leopards this Friday night for the homecoming game.
Lometa Hornet Football fell to the #6 ranked Gorman Panthers 61-46 on Friday night. They meet the Morgan Eagles this Friday at home.
Lady Badger Volleyball varsity traveled to Taylor Friday to compete in the first district game of the season. The girls stole a set from Taylor taking it to 4 sets and losing in the end:

Leaders were Rylee Davis with 14 kills, 20 digs, and 1 ace; Diane Hurst with 5 kills and 1 block; Monica Garza with 22 digs; and Abigail Martin with 12 assists.
Up next for Lady Badger Volleyball are matches against Salado at home. The 9th and JV teams will start at 5pm , with the Varsity following at 6pm.
Badger Cross Country was in Pflugerville Friday. The teams were mostly 5A & 6A schools, with only 3 small schools competing. Varsity Boys came in first in the small school division and finished in 8th place overall out of 17 schools, mostly the larger schools in Austin. Nathan Herrin led our boys by finishing 15th overall in a field of 157 runners with a time of 16:53. The other 4 scoring Badgers were Levi Geagley, Qadir Tolliver, Jon Davis and Kirby Berry.
The Varsity girls came in first overall in the larger 5A-6A JV division which was made up of 17 teams. Out of 177 runners, our 7 varsity girls finished in the top 8. Kyndal Moyer led with at time of 13:22, followed by Mackenzie Best, Megan Sittner, Taylor Moore, Rose Everhart, Alette Cook, and Megan Patterson.
The JV girls finished runner up in the small school division lead by Cheyenne Foote, and the JV boys finished 1st in the small school division lead by Luke Palacios.
