Meetings Next Week

On Monday Lampasas County Commissioners will meet at 9am in the courthouse for their regular monthly meeting. On the agenda will be a discussion to consider making a part-time employee of the Lampasas Animal Shelter to full-time, a request from Sheriff Ramos to engage jail architects, approval of early voting location for the November 8 election and the burn ban.

At 1:30pm the Commissioners will meet in the County Office Building for the usual department heads session.

Commissioners will then have 2 budget workshops in the Lampasas County Conference Room; one on Tuesday, August 9 at 1pm and the other on Thursday, August 11 at1:30pm.

Monday at 5:30pm Lampasas City Council will meet for their usual special session, where they will discuss with the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors the tourism agreement, the proposed mobile food court/park ordinance and issuance of Certificates of Obligation to support the City of Lampasas capital Improvement Plan.

At 7pm the regular session will begin and the Council will see on the agenda items pertaining to a resolution directing publication of Notice of Intention to Issue Certificates of Obligation, the Lampsaas County Chamber of Commerce’s 3rd quarter reimbursement, over budgeted part time salaries for the Lampasas Fire Dept., the proposed tax rate upon all property subject to taxation within the City of Lampasas and scheduling of two public hearings regarding that tax rate.

On Monday, Kempner City Council will meet at 7pm in their City Hall Chambers for a Budget Workshop, where they’ll review the proposed budget for the Fiscal Year 2016-2017.

Tuesday, Kempner City Council will meet at 7pm in their City Hall Council Chambers for their regular meeting. Items for action by the Council include a budget amendment from the Lampasas Central Appraisal District from 2015, approval of Kempner City Proposed Budget for FY 2016-2017 and a resolution for a grant application for the Police Dept.

On Tuesday, Lometa ISD School Board will meet at 6:30pm in the Library at 8th and Main in Lometa for their regular meeting. On the agenda is a meeting with an architect for building progress, presentation of the proposed 2016-2017 budget and tax rate and other routine matters.
