Football Practice Started Monday. The first ever inner squad full pad scrimmage will be held this Saturday at Lampasas High School practice field. Events will be from 9am-1pm.

The Quarterback Club will be there with a giant slip-n-slide for kids, a face painting booth, a corn hole toss and a football throwing contest. Food and drinks will also be offered.

The scrimmage will begin at 10am, followed by a Meet ‘n Greet with players and coaches.

Also happening at the high school on the same day, Benny Boyd Auto Group will have a fundraiser for the football team. For every test drive of one of their vehicles, Benny Boyd Auto Group will donate $20 to the football program.

The next scrimmage of the year will be next Friday, August 12, here at Badger Stadium against Taylor. JV and 9th will scrimmage at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm.

The first district game is a home game against Fredericksburg Friday, August 26th at 7:30pm.

Badger Football Season Tickets went on sale Monday and will be on sale through today for season ticket holders from last year. Sales will be from 9am-3pm at the LHS Athletic Secretary’s office.

Season tickets will then be on sale to the general public August 8-11 from 9am-3pm at the same place.

Cost of season tickets for all 6 home games is $54.

Home game pre-sale tickets will be sold Fridays during lunch periods, 11:30am-1:30pm, at LHS. Pre-sale admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets sold at the gate will be $6. Children who are not yet enrolled in school can enter at no charge.

Lady Badger Volleyball workouts began Monday at 7am.

There will be a mandatory Volleyball Parent Meeting for all teams this evening at 5pm.

The Volleyball teams will get their first meeting with a warmup game against Marble Falls, there, on Friday, August 5th.

Cross Country started practice Monday as well. They will have their first meet Friday, August 26th at 8am against Belton at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple.

Badger Fall Tennis starts next Tuesday, August 9th from 10-12am. Their first match will be against Killeen High at home at 4pm on Tuesday, August 16th.

A Sporting Clays Tournament at Crawford-Guyco Party House is coming up on Sunday, August 14th. It's the Metroplex Health System Foundation's third annual Rollins Brook Community Hospital Tournament. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:30am and the first flight of the tournament will begin at 9am, followed by a second flight at 2pm. Funds raised at the event will benefit the inpatient physical therapy department at Rollins Brook.
