Badger Tennis saw the team in a match with Belton that was eventually rained out.

It rained, then the rainbow above Dakota Carr in the pix (right), then it rained again.

Coach Kenneth Peiser said the boys had a good doubles night with Cavalieri/McGuire winning straight sets, as did Rash/Folks. Carroll/Munoz lost their match.

On the girls side, Gillis/Lawson came from behind to pull out a win in a tie breaker and Claussen/Dwamena almost pulled a second set out but lost the tie breaker and Connell/Hunter lost in two sets.

In mixed doubles, Carr/Green lost their match. That left the team down 3-4, then it went back and forth in the singles matches with Cavalieri, Hunter and Carroll losing but McGuire, Connell and Lawson winning. So it was 6-7, and the rains came seriously enough that the match had to be called.

Badger Volleyball saw the Lady Badgers at Shoemaker against a very strong team. The girls gave it their best but in the end it was 0-3 with scores of 7-25, 12-25 and 13-25.

In the loss Rylee Davis was credited with 5 kills and 1ace, Monica Garza had8 digs and Abigail Martin had 5 assists.

Coach Denise Ponder said the girls gave it their best and are learning and gaining the fast pace experience needed to be a true varsity team.

Drew Cleavinger, the 9th grade Volleyball coach said his team played a great game, beating Shoemaker in two sets, 25-21 and 25-16. He said the girls are working hard and working as a team. It was a big win!
