.Lady Badger Volleyball visited Killeen Ellison on Tuesday, ready to battle the 6A playoff team.

While the Lady Badgers dropped all three games, 6-25, 16-25, 10-26 Coach Ponder sees the team gaining confidence and learning how to work more as a team.

The Leaders were Kennedy Rinehart with 2 aces, Rylee Davis with 4 Kills, Monica Garza with 5 digs, and Abigail Martin with 4 assists.

The Freshman Volleyball team played at Ellison as well. Though the Badger Freshmen lost both sets, 15-25, 8-25, Coach Cleavinger was proud of the team and feels they played really hard and worked on some fundamental elements.

Badger Tennis was in Copperas Cove on Tuesday. The team came out slow in doubles and couldn’t seem to rebound from it. They dropped all three girls doubles matches, which hasn’t happened in some time, according to Coach Kenneth Peiser. And, the Coach says, they lost the mixed doubles match and the boys #3 doubles. Only the Cavalieri/McGuire and Rash/Folks teams were winners.

The team was down 2-5 at that point and singles brought wins with McGuire at #1, Cavalieri #2, Rash #3 and then Lawson at #2 and Hunter #6 were able to pull out wins. Lawson battled from behind to pull out a 3rd set win, as did Hunter.

In the end it was a 7-12 loss to Cove with Peiser guessing that Cove was btter than last year and more consistent than Lampasas. Hopefullu, he says, the team can learn and improve in the next three weeks before district begins.

The team will play Eastview on Friday at 4pm here in Lampasas.

Badger Football will see the JV and Freshmen teams in Fredericksburg on Thursday at 5 and 6:30pm, while the Badger Varsity will be at home Friday for its first game in Badger Stadium at 7:30pm.
