Badger Football will scrimmage Elgin on Friday, August 19 in Elgin.

The first non-district game is a home game against Fredericksburg next week on Friday, August 26 at 7:30pm.

Badger Football Home Game Pre-Sale Tickets will be sold Fridays during lunch periods, 11:30am-1:30pm, at LHS. Pre-sale admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets sold at the gate will be $6. Children who are not yet enrolled in school can enter at no charge.

Lady Badger Volleyball fell to Rogers last night with scores of 11-25, 15-25 and 7-25.

Rylee Davis had 5 kills and 1 block, Abigail Martin had 4 assists and Monica Garza had 12 digs.

Up next for the ladies are home games against Bangs on Saturday. The Freshmen team will start at 10am, the JV at 11am and the Varsity at 12pm.

Badger Fall Tennis was able to dodge the rain and play Killeen High at home yesterday, winning 13-6.

The team was able to go 6-1 in doubles. The teams of Cavalieri/McGuire, Folks/Munoz, Carr/Brewster, Lawson/Connell, Hunter/Munoz and Rash/Claussen all won their matches.

In singles, McGuire, Hunter, Lawson, Folks, Connell, Brian Munoz and Timothy Cavalieri won their matches; and Carroll, Kistner and Mackenzie Munoz all finished with wins in their extra matches.

Coach Kenneth Peiser said, “The team played good for not being able to play much this weekend or Monday due to the rain. This is our first match of the season and it was good to get a win in and settle some of the new players’ nerves.” The team has 10 new Varsity players this year.

The team will play Killeen Ellison at 8am Friday morning here in Lampasas. Leander was on the schedule too, but they have cancelled. Then on Saturday, the team will play Brownwood, there, at 8:30am.

Badger Cross Country will have their first meet next Friday, August 26 at 8am against Belton at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
