Lampasas ISD Superintendent Dr. Chane Rascoe and Hanna Springs Elementary Principal Dr. Kevin Bott have begun a program series called “Applying Books to Life,” where they will share information about the current efforts to improve reading in Lampasas schools, particularly in the elementary schools. During the series, they will also share ways that parents can get involved and support these efforts.
As part of the series, Dr. Rascoe and Dr. Bott will be at the Lampasas Public Library, located at 201 S Main St., on Wednesday, August 31 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. There, they will be using a book called “Raising Kids Who Read: What Parents and Teachers Can Do.”
The program is a collaborative effort to help kids overcome illiteracy at the elementary level.
