This year marks the second year of the iBadger iPad Initiative for Lampasas ISD. All students in grades 5-8 will be issued an individually-assigned school iPad for the 2016-2017 school year. Parents of all 5th-8th grade students are encouraged to join LISD August 11th from 6-7pm at Lampasas Middle School for a brief parent Q&A on all aspects of the iBadger iPad Initiative. More information can be found on the iBadger iPad Portal, accessible from the Lampasas ISD website under the Parent Student tab.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS OF LAMPASAS MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS:
As students in grades 6-8 will be expected to take home their school-issued iPad each night for charging and school-related activities, an annual $25 insurance fee is required to help defray costs associated with damage, and keep deductibles costs to a minimum. Insurance payments must be cash or check (written out to Lampasas ISD), and will be accepted in the Lampasas Middle School Library at the following times:
-August 11th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM (iBadger Parent Q&A)
-August 17th from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-During normal school hours, on any day after the start of school, August 22nd
Note: LMS students will not be issued iPads beginning August 30th if the annual insurance fee has not been paid, or if they have any outstanding fines related to their school-issued iPad from previous years.
