Badger Football will have a scrimmage this Friday, August 12, here at Badger Stadium against Taylor. JV and 9th will scrimmage at 5pm and Varsity at 6pm.
The first non-district game is a home game against Fredericksburg Friday, August 26th at 7:30pm.
Badger Football Season Tickets will be on sale to the general public August 8-11 from 9am-3pm at the LHS Athletic Secretary’s office.
Cost of season tickets for all 6 home games is $54.
Home game pre-sale tickets will be sold Fridays during lunch periods, 11:30am-1:30pm, at LHS. Pre-sale admission is $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets sold at the gate will be $6. Children who are not yet enrolled in school can enter at no charge.
Lady Badger Volleyball teams fell to Gatesville yesterday with scores of 8-25, 20-25 and 8-25.
Monica Garza and Autumn Burns each had 1 ace, Jessica Ball and Reahona Honaker had 2 kills each, Tori Martinez had 2 assists, Monica Garza had 14 digs and Reahona Honaker had 1 block.
Coach Denise Ponder said, “We played a strong competitor and the girls played hard. We still have a long road ahead of us and they’re ready for it.”
Up next for the girls is a Varsity tournament tomorrow and Saturday in Wimberley, as well as a JV tournament tomorrow and Saturday in Copperas Cove. The 9th grade team will have a tournament in Copperas Cove as well on Friday and Saturday. Times for all tournaments are to be announced.
Cross Country started practice last week on Monday. They will have their first meet Friday, August 26th at 8am against Belton at the Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
Badger Fall Tennis will have their first match against Killeen High at home at 4pm on Tuesday, August 16th.
A Sporting Clays Tournament at Crawford-Guyco Party House is coming up on Sunday, August 14th. It's the Metroplex Health System Foundation's third annual Rollins Brook Community Hospital Tournament. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:30am and the first flight of the tournament will begin at 9am, followed by a second flight at 2pm. Funds raised at the event will benefit the inpatient physical therapy department at Rollins Brook.
