Spring Ho Continues

 The Spring Ho Carnival kicked off yesterday and was in full "go" mode yesterday evening and last night. The County Fair judging was done and honors bestowed on the cooks, craftsmen, artists and growers.


Adult Division:

Best of Show Susan Detrick, quilt Reserve

Best of Show Elaine Wagner, Eagle

Intermediate Division: Best of Show Logan Bender, Fish

Reserve Best of Show Kasi Andrews, Girl & Bunny

Junior Division: Best of Show Sana’a Borland, dress

Reserve Best of Show Caylin Watson, paper mache cat

Baked Goods Adult Champion was Catherine Reichling with her English Toffee candy, Reserve Champion was Kasey Barland with her bread pudding. Junior Youth Champion was Sydney Lesley with "Just Peachy" cobbler and Reserve went to Daphne Davenport with her banana nut bread. Textiles Adult Champion was Susan Detrick with a hand quilt with machine pieces and Reserve went to Pam Jennigall with a quilt wall hanging. Photography Adult Champion was Renee Simons, Reserve went to Renee Simons and Intermediate Youth Champ was Kasi Andrews, Reserve Sydney Dishman.

The Junior Youth Champ was Shiann Burkett and Junior Reserve also went to Shiann. In Crafts the Adult honors went to Jull Runge with a knitted teddy bear w/baby and Reserve went to Lacye Slagle with a farm crochet bedspread. Int. Youth Champ was Riger Miserliean with a recycled feed tote bag. Cordell Argumaniz got Reserve with an old recycled fence planter. In the Junior Division, Caylin Watson had a paper machet cat for Champion and Daphne Davenport got Reserve honors with a large wood cross w/inlayed recycled glass. Canned Goods Adult Champion was Delores Tower-Linton with her pickles and Reserve went to Karen DeZarn with strawberry jam. The Junior Youth Champ was Daphne Davenport with Grandma's spiced peaches.

In Art, the Adult Champion was Elaine Wagner with "Eagle" and Reserve Champ was David Wilson with Woodburn "Indian". In Int. Youth the Champ was Logan Bender with "Fish" and Reserve was Sharly Briggs with "Red Sky Lakefence". Junior Champ honors went to Mikaila Fortner with "I Heart NY Girl w/red hat" and Junior Youth Reserve was Matix Karcher with "Rose." In Horticulture, the Adult Champion was Pat Clepper with a pither plant and Reserve went to Pat Clepper with a Brazilian Plume. In Junior Youth the Champ was Sara Lusty with 3 cakes and she also got Reserve with 3 Jalapenos.
