Rest of the weekend: Same ol', same ol' as the thermometers stay 97-99° area at the heat of the day, no clouds around for most of the days and SE wind generally light at 5-10 mph. That kind of weather will continue for most if not all of next week.
Lampasas Police made a total of 9 animal complaint calls yesterday (dog days of summer?) and there were several motorist assists and escorts required. But, there were no accidents nor arrests in town.
Lampasas Sheriff's Office blotter shows 6 suspicious activity reports, 6 animal problems, a utility problem, an intoxication and a number of other miscellaneous calls.
One arrest was made as a 29 yr old Copperas Cove male was taken into custody for a probation violation.
