Monday: Next week kicks off with Independence Day on Monday. There will be celebrations everywhere, and City and County offices will be closed, as well as the Lampasas Radio/Radiogram office, to honor the 240th birthday of the United States of America.
Lampasas Radio will be at the Lometa Regional Park at 15115 US 183 for a free 4th of July Music Bash, featuring many musicians and followed by a free fireworks show. The music starts around 6:30pm and will include Hayden Huse, Evelyn Billington, Bobby Starr and Katy Starr, all who put on a top-notch performance at this week’s Wednesday Night Live show; and the Rivera Brothers Band and Jeff Jacobs Band will also be there for your entertainment. At “dark-thirty,” the fireworks show will begin.
Picnics and lawn chairs are encouraged and the event is definitely family-friendly, and at no cost to you.
Tuesday: The annual Spring Ho festival will begin Tuesday evening at 6:45pm at the Ruth Eakin Outdoor Theater at W.M. Brook Park for live music from Jordan Cummings, and then the Opening Ceremonies, followed by the ever-popular Spring Ho Pageant. Lampasas Radio will be live from the event, so if you’re not able to make the event, tune in to Lampasas Radio to catch up with what’s going on.
