District Court will be held in Lampasas today. In last week's session on June 24th there were twenty cases before Judge John Gauntt. Eleven of the cases were for drugs, one was a DWI, two were for theft, one aggravated assault and a sexual contact with a child and a few other misc. cases.
Cases cleared included Jonathan Mclean Peters with a 9 mo. State Jail sentence for drugs, Caleb Bryan Morrow received a 2 yr deferred adjudication sentence for drugs, Steven Gregory Turner got a 3 yr State jail sentence for forgery, Jesse Wayne Jackson is to do a renewed inpatient commitment on an assault case, Randy Nevarez got 3 yrs deferred adjudication for drugs and Keith Lamont Clemons got 10 yrs probation for bail jumping and failure to appear plus court costs and attorney fees.
