Albin Edward Beyer, 80 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday June 25, 2016 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. Albin was born June 4, 1936 in Midfield, TX the son of Joe Beyer and Lillian (Kalinek) Beyer. He served in the United States Air Force for 23 years in Montauk AFB Long Island, NY; Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ, Weisbaden Germany; Wheelus AFB Tripoli Lybia; McCord AFB Washington, Vietnam; the Pentagon, American Embassy in Norway and Scott AFB, IL. He retired as a MSGT and then began a career as an intelligence analyst for the Department of Defense. Al graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree. He married Shirley Lawber. He was a charter member of Hill Country Church (PCA) and he and Shirley participated in square dancing for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Beyer; son, Tony Beyer and wife Gabrielle; daughter, Angie Allen and husband Cliff; grandchildren, Miguel Beyer and Joanna, A.J. Petrowich and Mega Kane, Sarah Butts and Kyle, Clay Allen; great-grandchildren, Eisley and Kipling Beyer; sisters, Josie Colaluca and Mary Bishop and Bren; brother-in-law, Gene Johnson and sisters-in-law, Tootsie Beyer, Patrica Lawbera and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Al was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers Joe Beyer and W. Fred Beyer and by sister, Ronnie Johnson.
A funeral service for Albin Beyer will be held Friday, July 1at 11am at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX at 3pm.
