Nan Baird, 68 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday June 25, 2016 at her home. She was born July 29, 1947 in Star, TX, the daughter of Henry Grady “Choc” Duncan and Letris (Kykendall) Duncan. Nan grew up on the Baugh Ranch and graduated from Star High School. She married Larry Baird and had lived in Florida, Austin and Lampasas. She was a homemaker and worked in the insurance agency that she and Larry owned. Nan loved the lake and fishing, traveling and dancing. She was a member of Community Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Larry Baird; daughters, Brandy Davis and Cory, Angela Brisbin and Ryan and Lisa Baker and Vernon; and sons, John Baird and Ryan Hogg.
Numerous grandchildren survive, including Sydney Eicher, Hayden Zurba, Brennan Edwards, Baird Brisbin, Piper Brisbin, Reece Davis, Jennifer Harris, Jessica Fincher, Kassie Baker. Great-grandchildren include Jonathan Harris, Kadi Ann Harris, Kaelie Fincher and Radley Fincher.
Nan is also survived by sisters, Rhonda Nell Clary and husband Lester, and by Ruth West.
Nan was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Duncan, sister, Bobby Adams and by a grandchild, Wyatt Eicher and great-grandchild, Mason Baker.
A funeral service for Nan Baird will be held Wednesday, June 29th, at 10am at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. There is no visitation.
Brenda Sue Jackson, 54 of Lampasas, TX died Friday June 24, 2016 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. Brenda was born Nov. 11, 1961 in Lampasas, TX to Albert Melvin Gaddy and Mary Lou (Martin) Gaddy.
Brenda attended local schools and was active in the Special Olympics and Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and making bracelets. Brenda was a very giving person. She was married to Edgar Lee Jackson who preceded her in death in June 2010.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Gaddy; sister, Dorothy Lindsey and husband Preston and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, husband and good friend Billy Black.
A funeral service for Brenda Jackson will be held Tuesday June 28th at 10am at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will take place today from 3-5 pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
