Gladys Mae Hill, 89 of Lampasas, TX died Monday June 13, 2016 at Lampasas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 18, 1927 in Bend, TX, the daughter of Harvey Stinnett and Jessie (Bailey) Stinnett. Gladys was self employed as a waitress for 50 years. She lived in Lampasas all of her life.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Brown and wife Peggy of Lampasas, Tye Brown and wife Charlotte of Burnet, Bobby Brown and wife Mary of Lampasas and Lester Brown and Susie Miller of Lampasas; daughter, Wanda Phillips of Lampasas; sisters, Myrtle Brown of Lampasas and Gayle Chambers and husband John of Lampasas; brother, Jimmy Stinnett and wife Sylvia of Bend and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, and her daughter, Maxine Brown Moore.
Graveside funeral service for Gladys Hill will be held on Thursday, June 16th, at 2pm at Warner Cemetery in Burnet County. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
Marcelle Shelton, 85 of Lexington, TX died Sunday June 12, 2016 at her granddaughter’s house in Mason, TX. Marcelle was born October 19, 1930 in Mason, TX the daughter of James Madison Eaton and Liza Eleanor (Seavers) Eaton. She was a licensed cosmetologist and dietician. She was married to Sylvester Shelton and he preceded her in death in 2003.
Survivors include here daughter, Claudetta Fay Rogers of Lexington, TX; sons, J.D. Prosise and Linda of Kempner and Billy Craig Prosise and Sherry of Hobbs, NM; granddaughter, Jennifer Moneyhon and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14th, from 5pm to 7pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A funeral service for Marcelle Shelton will be held Wednesday, June 15th, at 10am at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady, TX.
