It's that time of year for sheep and goat ranchers—the time that sheep and goat ranchers have to worry about internal parasites in their animals. Deworming can take different forms, but it really needs to be done, especially this year with all of the rainfall over the past few months.
Doing it right, and at the right time, is critical. Dr. Reid Redden, Extension Sheep & Goat Specialist, will discuss internal parasites, the different deworming methods and help ranchersdetermine parasite loads at the IPM workshop to be hald here on June 28th. The session will be held at the Lampasas County Farm Bureau building. Those wishing to attend should pre-register by calling the Lampasas County Extension Office at 512-556-8271.
