Lampasas County Commissioners met at 9am this morning in the courthouse with retirement recognition for former District Clerk Terri Cox and a discussion of the old Precinct 2 maintenance barn at Nix on FM 580 W. Recent discussions on the issue were considering the abandonment of the building and disposing of the property, though no method of disposal was discussed. At 1:30pm the Commissioners will meet in the County Office Building for the usual department heads session.
Monday at 5:30pm Lampasas City Council will meet for their usual special session. In executive session they will discuss matters related to the utility department, and related to the City Manager's employment. In open workshop session they are to discuss the Sign Ordinance.
At 7pm the regular session will begin and the Council will hold public hearings on zoning matters. In regular session they will vote on a number of those zoning issues. Other items on the agenda include possible approval of a 2nd quarter $7,499 payment to the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, a purchase of a new pickup truck, a heavy equipment cylinder, some plumbing payments and approval of $10,000 for some engineering services.
On Tuesday, Kempner City Council will meet at 7pm in their City Hall Council Chambers with routine business and some planning and arrangements for the future. They will review and possibly approve a contract for audit services with Singleton, Clark & Company. They will also consider approval of the National Bank of Central Texas as their depository.
