The Vision Lampasas! Art Committee began work two weeks ago on the newest mural in their series in Lampasas: “Birdies,” based on designs by artist Terrell Powell and located in W.M. Brook Park. (Powell created “Bird Totem,” a sculpture in Hanna Springs Sculpture Garden in Campbell Park.)
Lampasas jail trustees and City of Lampasas Parks Department workers prepared and primed the restroom building in the park and volunteers from the Lutheran Church then cleared dirt and debris from around the building.
Vision Lampasas! Art Committee drew the design and last week, committee members began adding color to the design and announced that members of the public who would like to volunteer to paint should stop by the park.
This is the tenth mural that committee members and volunteers have completed in the city of Lampasas.
