Cooper Spring Nature Park Tours for Mobility-impaired
Cooper Spring Nature Park Foundation (CSNPF) representatives held two tours of the park for those with impaired mobility on Saturday, May 14, as a trial run for offering a public option.
CSNPF members Harrell Clary, Marilyn Clary, Rex and Linda Johnson, and Neal Leavell were on hand to ensure thatparticipants enjoyed a safe ride through the park on a wagon towed by Jeep. Harrell Clary built the wagon for the purpose of making the park accessible to those who might not be able to navigate the mown paths otherwise. Residents of Silver Creek Assisted Living were among those who enjoyed the tour and light refreshments. The park has benefited from the wet spring and the wildflowers have been abundant and beautiful. Cooper Spring Nature Park is being developed to protect in perpetuity diverse native plant and wildlife associated with Lampasas’ historic springs, creeks and uplands.
