Lampasas Badger Boys Basketball was in Hamilton yesterday, and the Runnin’ Badgers beat Rio Vista 67-17 to advance to the semi-finals. The JV defeated Brownwood 46-16 and advances to the semi-finals. The freshmen fell to the Hamilton Bulldogs and Cameron Yoe, and play again on Saturday.

Lady Badger Freshmen and JV teams traveled to Cherokee yesterday for the Cherokee tournament.

Lampasas Middle School Boys Basketball played on the road yesterday with the 8th grade B team winning 21-19. The 8th grade B team lost to the Burnet Bulldogs 69-28. Top scorers were Ace Whitehead with 8, and both Lane Haviland and Nathan Calvery had 6 points each.

The 7th grade B team beat Burnet’s Pups 30-11. They are 3-0 and 2-0 in district. The team will host Salado on Monday. Leading scorers were Cooper Greiner with 9 points and Sosa Sokimi and Carson Bekker had 5 each.

Lampasas Middle School Girls Basketball hosted Burnet last night with the 7th grade teams both winning against the Bulldogs. The A team won 36-25 and the B team 18-12. Both 8th grade girls teams fell, the A team 42-38, the B team 18-17.

Top scorers for the 7th A were Laurcey Bender with 14 and Kyliegh with 12. For the 7th B it was Beiyana Alexander with 6 and both Isabella Bertrand and Kaitlyn Neely had 4.

In the 8th grade games it was Taylor Allen with 9 and Frederia Fluker with 8 on the A team and on the B team is was Rachel Myles, Denisse Pacheco, Emma Jones and Taylor Talbert, all with 4 points in the game.

The Lometa Hornets Boys and Girls Basketball teams are in Lohn for tournament play today and tomorrow.
